Carquinez Bridge

The Carquinez Bridge is actually two bridges on Interstate 80 that cross the Carquinez Strait between Contra Costa and Solano counties near Vallejo. An eastbound bridge that was constructed in 1958, and a westbound suspension bridge built in 2003, which carries vehicular traffic as well as bicycles and pedestrians on a separated pathway.

The Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) collects tolls on the seven state-owned toll bridges in the Bay Area. All seven of the Bay Area’s state owned bridges have permanently transition to all-electronic tollingYou can use either FasTrak to pay your toll, or set up a License Plate Account.
